TERms and conditions

Reservation

Only Clients with approved requirements will be able to rent. Inform us immediately when payment was sent by texting or sending us messages thru our Facebook Page or thru email to confirm your booking. 

refund-policy
  • Renter can cancel their booking anytime. The downpayment is non refundable BUT rebookable. We require minimum of 2 days rent for advance booking, once you cancel your 2nd day rent we will not refund your payment. 

  • No refund shall be issued should the renter return earlier than scheduled. Rates are calculated based on rental days.

  • If you cancel your booking less than 7 days, but at least 24 hours before your specified pick up time then you can rebook.

  • If there are instances that the unit has a problem technically during your rental period or delay of delivery/pickup after 2 hours of waiting:

    • Compensation will be depending on the waiting time of the client while replacement is on its way or staff or mechanic is on its way to rescue the car and driver. It is 200 Pesos per Hour or if it exceeds the daily rate of the car, refund of a day rent to be given to the client (or which is lower) upon return of the unit. 

  • Cancellation of Reservation during Peak Season and Holidays are Non refundable and Non Rebookable.

Pickup of Vehicle

  • The Renter has had the opportunity to inspect the vehicle before the renting term begins and confirms that it is in good operable condition. 

  • Staff will show all dents, scratches or any damage of the car before hand so renters will be knowledgeable before we hand over the car.

  • Renter and/or Driver are only allowed to receive the unit. 

  • Start Time, Scheduled Time.

  • Full Tank upon delivery/pickup of unit.

  • Before we park the vehicles at the garage, we make sure it is full tank. All vehicles picked up at the garage are full tank.

  • Full payment must be settled before we endorse the vehicle.

  • Extension is upon approval. If extension is not allowed and cannot bring back the car on the said date, staff will go to where the vehicle and we will charge renter for fines and expenses made.

Scope of Use

  • The Renter swears and attests that he/she has a legal, valid license to drive this type of vehicle in the Philippines, and that there are no outstanding warrants against said license. 

  • The Renter is the only AUTHORIZED TO DRIVE the unit. NO OTHER DRIVERS ALLOWED to drive the unit unless approved by Viaje management.

  • The Renter agrees to hold harmless, indemnify, and release the Owner for any damages, injuries, property loss, or death caused while the Renter operates this vehicle. 

  • The Renter agrees to use the vehicle only for routine, legal purposes (personal or business). 

  • The Renter further agrees to follow all city, municipal and government rules and restrictions regarding use and operation of the vehicle such as no Car pooling, no drag racing ,no drug trafficking, number coding etc. 

  • DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE.  PROHIBITED DRUGS ARE NOT ALLOWED and  Strictly no smoking inside the car.

  • The Renter is not authorized to have repairs or changes made of the vehicle and its attachments or to place them as guarantees without the prior consent of Viaje Car Rental.

  • Renter must be aware of any signs of fault in the car such as overheating, 

Return of Vehicle

  • Meet the staff at the gas station ONLY. Staff must be there if you will fill up the gas tank. Settle all balances (RFID, extension of hours or days, Participation fee for the damages) when surrendering the unit. 

  • Surrender the unit to authorized staff of Viaje Car Rental only.

  • Full Tank (not automatic) upon delivery/pickup of unit.

  • Make sure you remove all belongings when you return the vehicle to Viaje staff. We are not liable for property left in the vehicle when returned to Viaje. If any is found by our staff inside the vehicle after you leave, we will return lost property to you. Postage or courier and processing fee will be charged to you. You can also pickup at our garage or office by following our guidelines. 

  • Viaje Car Rental is authorized to take possession of the vehicle at its discretion and without notice if it has been used in a manner that does not conform to this rental agreement or law and regulations,  if the vehicle appears to be abandoned, or  if the rented vehicle is not returned on the agreed Return Date.

  • If there are damages made while renting the car, all transactions must be between the Administrator and clients only. Drivers or Transporters are not allowed to inform any client privately about the damage and the amount to be paid.  Transporters duty is to inspect the car upon return of unit. Any damages will be reported on the spot so administrator can make actions immediately.

CDW

COLLISSION DAMAGE WAIVER

As an additional service to all our clients, Viaje Car Rental offers an optional Damage Waiver. This Damage Waiver (DW) will help reduce the cost for damage to equipment while under the possession of the unit under normal working conditions. The charge will be automatically applied at the time of rental if you choose to accept the DW.

Damage Waiver Fees (Per day of rental):

​

  • Sedan:        200 Pesos   

  • Crossover:  250 Pesos                              

  • MPV:           300 Pesos

  • SUV:            400 Pesos                 

  • Van:             500 Pesos

 

With CDW, RENTER shall only be liable for a non-waivable excess (renter’s participation) which is equivalent to whichever is applicable in a vehicular accident. The non-waivable excess amount for the each car class are as follows:

Payment of CDW does not reduce Renter’s own risk because of damage to the vehicle in the following instances:

  • Misuse, abuse, or intentional damage from major negligence by the driver

  • Damage to Viaje because the vehicle being stolen.

  • Equipment that is used for a purpose for which it was not designed.

  • Water damage to the vehicle.

  • Damage resulting from the vehicle being driven in areas where driving it is banned such as driving on paths, in unabridged rivers, streams or other watercourses, on beaches, places that are only accessible during low tide or other trackless areas.

  • Damage caused by driving on rough roads, for example, to the transmission, the drive shaft, other parts in or on the chassis of the vehicle, damage to the chassis of the vehicle caused by the vehicle bumping against uneven roads, for example, road shoulders caused by motor graders, rocks lodged in gravel roads or by the edges of roads. The same applies to damage resulting from loose rocks hitting the vehicle or the bottom of the vehicle when being driven.

  • Damage affecting only wheels, tires, suspension, mirrors, windows, batteries, glass, radio equipment, as well as damage due to the theft of individual parts of the vehicle and damage derived thereof.

  • Damage caused by natural disaster such as typhoon, flood, slippery road due to heavy rain, landslide and earthquake.

  • Damage caused by animals.

  • Damage resulting from test-driving or drag racing.

  • Damage resulting from the driver being under the influence of intoxicants.

  • Damage resulting from civil unrest or warfare.

What It Does Not Cover:

  • Equipment that is used for a purpose for which it was not designed.

  • Misuse, abuse, or intentional damage.

  • Damages to tires, tracks and windows.

  • Normal wear and tear and maintenance.

  • Broken or lost keys.

  • Contamination of fuel.

  • Mysterious disappearance and theft.

  • Equipment not maintained or not maintained correctly.

  • Loss of spare parts or accessories.

If the vehicle is driven by a person who is not registered in the rental agreement, CDW becomes null and void, in which instance the Renter is fully liable for the vehicle, for damage it may sustain, damage it may cause others, items or vehicles, and obligated to pay such damage in full.

​

The RENTER, however, will be liable for the full cost of damage if the car is driven in violation of the RENTAL AGREEMENT or for failure to submit a police report during the accident.

THIRD PARTY INSURANCE

The third party insurance carried by all company vehicles covers the driver's liability for injury to others but does not cover his own personal injury or that of his passenger.

The Renter has read and acknowledged all terms and conditions.

​

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between Viaje Car Rental and the RENTER herein agree to adopt all the stipulations under the rental agreement.
